 Annville-Cleona Budget Update Minimize
Tonight, the Annville-Cleona School Board approved a preliminary budget for the 2010-11 school year by a 6-2 vote. Voting in favor were Mark Ditzler, Gordon Waldhausen, Debra Hess, James Wright, Joseph Zimmerman, and Thomas Tshudy. Voting against were Patricia Stephens and Nelson Heagy. Dr. Katherine Leisure was not present. Passing this preliminary budget will allow for the school board to make necessary adjustments to provide for a fair budget for both the students and the taxpayers of the district. Please show your thanks and support for this board for making this difficult decision to continue the budgeting process, as well as for all of the hard work they put into their positions.

As always, ACEA and the Annville-Cleona School Board recommend attendance at school board meetings so that your opinions can be voiced and heard. There will be cuts made to this preliminary budget, and the board wants to hear from all stakeholders. The next school board meeting is on Thursday, February 18 at 7 PM in the board room.
